German topics for the International Polar Year 2007/08

Throughout a series of discussions, German polar researchers of all disciplines have identified four research areas which will be particularly facilitated by Germany’s contribution to the International Polar Year 2007/08:

An extensive outreach programme will assure the transfer of all subject components to schools and the general public, so that polar research will be communicated broadly and facilitate the education of a new generation of young scientists.
