IceCube
A new window to the universe
The largest detector for elementary particles, IceCube, is presently being installed in the deep ice below the Amundsen-Scott Station. Detecting cosmic neutrinos from outer space it will provide insights in cosmic regions which otherwise are hidden to astronomers: a "new window to the Universe"
